Simply Perfect Pasta: Step 1 Select number of servings. Servings: 2; 1/4 box pasta; 2 qt water; 1 tsp salt. Servings: 4; 1/2 box pasta; 3 qt water; 2 tsp salt. Servings: 8; box pasta; 5 qt water; 1 tbsp salt. Step 2: Pick your time/firmness. 11 minutes al dente; 12 minutes firm; 13 minutes tender. Step 3: Cooking Instructions: (1) Bring water to a boil. Add salt to taste. (2) Add pasta to boiling water. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally. Cook for 11 to 13 minutes. (3) Drain well and serve as desired. Maintaining Perfect Pasta: To keep cooked pasta fresh for later use, toss with a small amount of olive oil and refrigerate.
