Directions

Must be cooked thoroughly. Deep Frying Directions: Preheat vegetable oil to 350°F. Place desired amount of frozen okra into fry basket. Carefully immerse basket in hot oil and fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Drain and serve. Stove Top Directions: Place sufficient vegetable oil or shortening in skillet to cover bottom (approximately 1/2 inch). Preheat oil over medium heat to 350°F. Carefully place frozen okra in hot oil and cook until golden brown, turning several times with spatula. For food safety: Keep frozen until ready to cook. Do not refreeze. Heat to 165°F before use. Refrigerate leftovers.
