Other Description

Silicone ear plugs are safe and effective, and can be re-used. However, if over a period of time there is any indication of degradation, such as cracks, brittleness or discoloration, discard them and replace with a new pair. Information required by EPA: The level of noise entering a person's ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by difference between the a-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: 1. The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 DB(A). 2. The NRR is 21 decibels (DB). 3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to (92 DB(A) -21) 71 DB(A). Noise reduction rating. 21 decibels (when used as directed). The range of noise reduction ratings for existing hearing protectors is approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers denote greater effectiveness). Federal law prohibits removal of this label prior to purchase. Label required by us EPA regulation 40 CFR part 211 subpart B. EPA. Ā©2099 S&S Brands, Inc. www.care1.info. Warnings

Safety warnings: not recommended for overnight use, diving, prolonged underwater swimming, or depths over 10 feet. Although these plugs are not intended for use as hearing protectors, they will help block sound when properly sealed. In case of airplane use, remove prior to descent. Use by children should be closely supervised by adults.
Caution: do not cut, stretch or break apart ear plugs. If not used as directed, ear plug could become trapped in ear canal requiring by a qualified professional. If ear plug has become lodged in ear canal, do not try to remove with tweezers or any other device. Seek medical attention for proper removal. Please note - a few days delay will cause no harm.
Caution: for noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500Hz the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used, improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the enclosed instructions for proper fit. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the noise reduction rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire.
