To Prepare: Determine your desired liquid nectar amount. Mix powdered concentrate with warm water. Stir until completely dissolved. Refrigerate unused nectar. Just add water, no boiling necessary. Measurements: Total Nectar: 8 fl oz = 3 tbsp powdered concentrate + 7 fl oz water. Measurements: Total Nectar: 12 fl oz = 4 tbsp powdered concentrate + 11 fl oz water. Measurements: Total Nectar: 16 fl oz = 6 tbsp powdered concentrate + 14 fl oz water. Measurements: Total Nectar: 24 fl oz = 9 tbsp powdered concentrate + 21 fl oz water. Measurements: Total Nectar: 32 fl oz = 12 tbsp powdered concentrate + 28 fl oz water. Measurements: Total Nectar: 48 fl oz = 18 tbsp powdered concentrate + 43 fl oz water. With the all-natural color, it is important to note that it may fade over time, especially when exposed to the sun. If the nectar has faded inside of your feeder, that is an indicator it is time to refresh your nectar. Regardless of the color or type of nectar you use in your feeders, changing nectar our and cleaning the feeder every few days should be a standard practice. This is to ensure hummingbirds have access to nectar that is fresh and safe for them to drink.
