Aluminum cookware care instructions. Porcelain enamel aluminum cookware with ceramic or nonstick interior: Before first use, rinse with warm soapy water and towel dry completely. Hand-wash is recommended. Allow pans to cool before being washed. Do not submerge hot cookware in cold water since this will damage the cookware and void the warranty. If, through misuse, burned grease or food residue collects on the surface of the pan, it can usually be removed by washing it with warm water and a mild detergent. In an extreme case, such residue can be removed by a thorough cleaning with a solution of 3 tablespoons of bleach, 1 table-spoon liquid dish detergent and 1 cup of water. Rub this mixture onto the surface with a sponge or plastic bristle brush, rinse and towel dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners, pads, oven cleaners or caustic cleaning solutions to clean the cookware. After cleaning, recondition the interior by swiping a light layer of cooking oil on to the surface thus creating a protective coating. Always use potholders or oven mitts when handling hot aluminum cookware. Use trivets to protect countertops from hot cookware. Special instructions for use on stove tops: Follow your stovetop's manufacturer's instructions regarding appropriate handling of different types of cookware on your ceramic or glass stovetop. Ensure never overheat or allow your porcelain enamel cookware to boil dry. By doing so, this will likely cause it to fuse onto your ceramic/glass stovetop and you might find yourself in need of a costly replacement. Additionally, never place hot cookware onto a cool ceramic/-glass stovetop since this also might cause the element to fuse onto its surface or even cause the surface to crack. Heating Instructions: Start with low heat and gradually increase the pan's tempera-ture to the desired heat setting prior to applying butter or oil. Do not overheat when cookware is empty. Cooking oil sprays are not recommended. The residue from these sprays accumulate over time and are difficult to remove from the Nonstick surface. Oven Instructions: This item is safe for use on gas, ceramic, halogen, glass and electric stove-tops. Not suitable for use in the microwave. Oven safe to 300 degree F.
