Developed by Leclerc's research and development team, Praeventia is a line of food products made from carefully selected quality ingredients. Each pouch contains 2g of inulin taken from chicory root. Inulin is a dietary fiber that is not digested in the upper gastrointestinal tract and ends up in the large intestine. There it becomes the food of choice for "good" intestinal bacteria. Research suggests eating 5g to 8g of inulin per day can help promote the growth of these good bacteria. These delicious cookies contain 10g of whole grain per serving and 4g of fiber. The dietary guidelines for Americans recommends consuming at least 85g of whole grains and 25g of fiber per day.
