Dry red wine. Gran Selezione is a new classification of Chianti Classico, resting at the top of the pyramid in terms of aging and production parameters. It is the ultimate expression of Chianti Classico tradition and quality. Grapes used in Gran Selezione wines must be estate-grown and estate-bottled, with a minimum aging of 30 months (compared to 24 for Chianti Classico Riserva). 2010 is the first vintage of this exceptional wine. Ours proudly bears the name of Rocca delle Macie owner, Sergio Zingarelli. From the 2015 vintage. We have produced 10164 750 ml bottles. www.roccadellemacie.com.
