Product Details
A distinctive blended of sherries aged in oak casks. Category: Medium sweet sherry. Sugar Content: 28 gr./l. Estd. 1877. Origin of Name: The word Sack probably originated at the end of the 15th Century and signified a sweet, fortified wine quiet unlike anything we know today. Nearly 120 years ago, Williams & Humbert produced a special sherry by reducing the quantity of sweet wine in the blend to produce a fairly dry light-bodied sherry with a remarkably dry aftertaste. It was called Dry Sack because, although it is a medium sherry as we know it today, it is in fact, a very dry sack. Dry Sack it is such a very special sherry. Why not buy a bottle today and try it? Type of Grape: Palomino and Pedro Ximenez. Vineyards: Jerez Superior, Balbaina and Carrascal vineyards. Ageing: 6 years old. Tasting Notes: An amber-coloured wine of intense aromas suggesting dried nuts. A fragant sherry with a clean finish, little acid and slightly sweet. www.williams-humbert.com.
