Product Details

Red wine. San Pablo Estate Plot N degrees 14. This vineyard is located in the highest part of the Uco Valley at 1,480 meters (4,850ft) and was planted in 2007 with selected Malbec vines, with original rootstock at a density of 5,000 plants per hectare. The cold climate, together with a sandy-loam texture soil with abundance of medium size stones covered in a layer of calcium carbonate in the deeper soil, allow us to produce an exotic expression of Malbec. Bodegas Salentein pioneered the development of premium wines in Valle de Uco (uco valley). The ideal conditions of the region for grape growing, combined with the unique qualities of our estate vineyards located between 1.050 and 1.700 meters high and the benefit of its five different microclimates, result in wines with exceptional characteristics. Salentein single vineyard San Pablo Estate Malbec has intense and complex aromas of black fruits, violets and figs. Moreover, in the mouth it is wide and concentrated, with silky tannins, graphite notes, refreshing acidity and long elegant finish. This wine was fermented in French oak barrels and then it was aged in French oak barrels for 16 months. Limited edition of 4.480 bottles. Jose Galante. Chief winemaker.
