Product Details
Red wine. Valle de pedernal. San Juan Argentina. Born from the entrepreneurial spirit of Myndert Pon, Pyros wines hall from Argentina's pedernal valley, an isolated rocky stronghold, located in the Andes Range at 1,400 meters (4,500 feet) ASL. Precious limestone and flint soils derived from prehistoric marine deposits, together with optimal, cool weather, produces wines of striking intensity and singular expression. The Pyros Vineyard, with its heterogeneous soils and unique location, offers incredible diversity, allowing us to craft wines that uniquely represent the plots in which they are grown. Limestone Hill is the name of our plot planted on the slope of the Pedernal Hill. Its soil is composed of calcareous rock and fine material, which lends aromatic intensity, offering red fruits, wild herbs and floral notes. This is a bold wine, with fine, silky tannins, refreshing acidity and minerality. A singular Malbec, complex and expressive of this burgeoning Argentina appellation.
