How To Use Your Filter: Wearing your mask properly is important for level of effectiveness. Always follow the steps below when putting on your mask: 1. Clean your hands with soap and water; 2. Insert one filter into back pocket of mask PM2.5 marking should be facing you; 3. Hold mask by ear loops and place a loop around each ear; 4. Mold edge of mask to fit the shape of your nose; 5. Ensure snug, air-tight put to your chin, cheeks and nose; 6. Avoid touching the front of the mask while wearing. When taking your mask off remember to remove from the ear loops. Avoid touching the front of the mask. Duration of use for your filter. Duration of use for PM 2.5 filters vary by the environment in which they are being utilized. Cummulative use of between 20-30 hours before replacing is suggested. The filter must fit properly inside a correctly worn mask for effective filtering. Your filter should be replaced when the following conditions occur: the surface of the filter is damaged, or if the filter cannot be adapted to the face properly; the filter is contaminated, such as droplets are on the outside of the filter; when the filter becomes damp or humid. Always inspect the filter before each use to ensure there are no holes in breathing zone and no damage to the filter. Failing to follow all instructions and limitations of use for the mask can reduce effectiveness.
