Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Just follow these steps for a juicy, flavorful turkey breast everyone is going to remember. Thawing (Defrosting): Do not open bag until turkey breast is defrosted. Keep turkey breast cold. do not haw at room temperature. place on in refrigerator for 1-3 days. This turkey breast is brined for your convenience. for additional brining, reduce the salt in your recipe by half. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350 degree F. Remove refrigerated turkey breast from bag. Roasting: Place turkey breast, breast-side up on a roasting inside a shallow roasting pan. Brush turkey breast with vegetable oil and season as desired add one cup of water to the bottom of the basting pan. This helps keeps the turkey breast moist while still allowing browning. Roast at 350 degrees F according to the chart below. If breast is golden-brown before fully cooked, cover with a loose test of aluminum foil to prevent over-browned. Cut a hole in the foil to view the pop-up timer. Turkey breast is done when the pop-up timer has popped and a meat thermometer, not touching any bone, registers at least 165 degrees F in the deeper part of the breast. Remove from oven and allow the cooked breast to stand for 20 to 30 minutes. This allows the juices to settle and makes carving easier. Slow Cooker: Place turkey breast, skin side up, in corkpot. The skin of turkey breast can also be brushed with cooking oil to promote browning and enhance flavor. 1/2 cup of white wine or broth can be used to add moisture and prevent the meat from sticking to the crockpot’s surface. Cook according to the table below. Turkey breast is done when a meat thermometer not touching any bone, registers at least 165 degrees in the deepest part of the breast. Other Cooking Methods & Additional Tips: We recommend conventional oven roasting, but your Frozen Shady Brook Farms Turkey Breast is also delicious when grilled. Microwaving is not recommended.
