I've been serving down home Southern cooking in my Harlem restaurant for so long it's become a New York City landmark. As a little girl in South Carolina, I learned about soulful, home cooking from my mom. After a hard day's work in the field picking beans, nothing tasted as fine as her warm, flavorful cooking.
