Red wine. Greenache 30%. Mourvedre 30%. Syrah 20%. Cinsault 20%. The Perrin family has owned chateau de beaucastel since 1909. The coudoulet vineyard is immediately adjacent to the chateau de beacastel vineyard but was not included in the appellation in 1936. On the same limestone plateau with clay, sand and galets roules, this baby beaucastel is a blend of greenache, mourvedre, syrah and cinsault, hand-harvested and crafted by the same team in the same way as chiteau de beaucastel. It is fermented in concrete, except the syrah, which is in wooden vats, the final blend is aged 6 months in foudre. The wine is unfiltered. www.vineyards.com.
