Cooking Directions: Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of whole green beans, bring 1/3 cup water to a boil. Add vegetables and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 6 to 8 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of whole green beans in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 8 to 10 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: Pour whole green beans in microwave-safe dish: 1-1/2 quart size for 1/2 bag, 2-quart size for whole bag. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Drain. Season to taste. Servings - 2 large - 5. Amount - 8 oz - 16 oz. Water - 1/8 cup - 1/4 cup. Cooking time* - 5 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 3 minutes - 6 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 5 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Keep frozen until ready to use.
