Directions

1 medium onion, coarsely chopped. 3 lbs boneless pork loin. 1 tsp garlic powder. 6 slices bacon, chopped. = Southern barbecue pulled pork with beans. Servings: 10 to 12. Prep time: 15 minutes. Cook time: 6 to 7 hours. 1. Place pork in 5-quart slow cooker. 2. In large bowl, combine beans, bacon, garlic powder and onion; pour over pork. 3. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. (Tip: may cook on high for 4-5 hours.) 4. Remove pork and shred. 5. Return meat to slow cooker for 30 minutes. Serve. Heating directions: Microwave: empty contents into microwave-safe container. Cover. Heat 2-3 minutes. Stir and serve. Conventional: empty contents into saucepan. Heat to simmer.
