Directions

Stovetop: 1. Add 1/4 cup Cream of Rice slowly to 1 cup boiling water (salted if desired), stirring constantly. 2. Return to boiling. Reduce heat to maintain a low boil. 3. Cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly. 4. Remove from heat. Cover, let stand for 1 minute. Stir well before serving. 1 Servings: 1/4 cup Cream of Rice; 1 cup water. 2 Servings: 1/2 cup Cream of Rice; 2 cups water; 1/2 tsp salt (optional). 4 Servings: 1 cup Cream of Rice; 4 cups water; 3/4 tsp salt (optional). 17 Servings-Full Box: 28 oz Cream of Rice; 4 quarts plus 1 cup water; 2-3 tsp salt (optional). Microwave: 1. Mix 1/4 cup of Cream of Rice, 1 cup cold tap water and dash of salt (optional) in 2-cup microwavable bowl. 2. Cook on high (100% power) for 1 minute. Stir. Cook 1 to 2 minutes more, stirring well every 30 seconds, until cereal is thick and smooth. Stir for 1 minute before serving. Caution: Bowl will be hot; carefully remove from microwave using pot holders. Note: Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Overheating can cause cereal to boil over. Swirl it.
