In 1990, I lived in a garage with my dog, climbing gear, bikes, and two trumpets. One day, during a 280 km bike ride with my buddy jay. I couldn't stomach another bite of the energy bars we'd brought. I knew I could do better. Six months later, after countless hours in my mom's kitchen, Clif Bar became a reality.
