Cuttings Wine

Description

The Prisoner Wine Company takes an unconventional approach to winemaking by working with impassioned growers to source varietals from vineyards and appellations across California. The resulting wines are interesting blends of distinct quality and character. Inspired by the age-old method of using cuttings from idyllic sites for the propagation of new vines, this cabernet sauvignon showcases some of The Prisoner Wine Company's favorite hillside vineyards. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, Cuttings combines deliciously smooth flavors of blueberry, dark cherry, and cocoa. This red wine has aromas of fresh roasted coffee, black currant, vanilla bean, brown spice, and wild berries. Varietal: 80% cabernet sauvignon, 20% blend of petite sirah, syrah, zinfandel.
