Robert Mondavi Winery Wine Maestro

Description

Robert Mondavi, one of the first true pioneers of Napa Valley, was renowned for innovation. In 1966, he founded Robert Mondavi Winery with the vision to produce world-class wines in the Napa Valley. It's only fitting that Maestro, the wine was created to honor him for the 50th anniversary of our winery. Maestro is led by artistic direction in the vineyards to create a unique blend with no formula and working with what the vintage is giving us and we see this as an opportunity to make a true, vintage-driven blend. A crescendo of dark, juicy plum and cassis fruit, violet, cinnamon, and unsweetened cocoa linger on sumptuous sips full of vibrant flavor and plush tannins. A blend of 73% cabernet sauvignon, 23% cabernet franc, 2% merlot, and 2% petit verdot from our two prized vineyards: To Kalon in Oakville and Wappo Hill in Stags Leap.
