Simi Reserve Wine Chardonnay

Description

SIMI owns vineyards in two small and specialized sub-districts of Sonoma County-the warmer Alexander Valley, and the cooler, foggier Russian River Valley. SIMI made its first wine from Sonoma County grapes in 1876 and has been continuously making wine in the same stone cellar in Healdsburg, California since 1890. This Russian River Valley appellation chardonnay opens with exotic sandalwood and cardamom followed by toasted bread, lemon zest, green apple, nougat, tropical fruit, stone fruit, minerals and lush cream. The palate is warm with vanilla, toast, stone fruit, pineapple, orange zest, and Granny Smith and Golden Delicious apples. Pairs well with seared scallops, seared halibut or lobster bisque. Varietal: 100% chardonnay.
