Hogue Wine Cabernet Sauvignon

Description

The majority ofWashingtonís wine grapes are planted east of the Cascade Range in the Columbia Valley appellation, which encompasses the Yakima Valley and Walla Walla appellations. The Columbia Valley covers 18,000 square miles and provides a huge range of geographical and climatic conditions for grape growing.Hogue Cellars wine is made with grapes that have intense fruit flavors and high natural acidity, which is why it is one of the most recognized names in Washington wines. The Genesis Cabernet Sauvignon's grapes were picked at mid-day and during the late afternoon to encourage fermentation. This cabernet opens with blueberry, cherry, strawberry, molasses, dried tobacco leaf, toast, and cream. The palate is rich and creamy with blackberry, vanilla, maple, cocoa, and spice flavors. Pair with braised short ribs, roast pork, or grilled salmon.
