Simi Wine Chardonnay

Description

SIMI owns vineyards in two small and specialized sub-districts of Sonoma County-the warmer Alexander Valley, and the cooler, foggier Russian River Valley. SIMI made its first wine from Sonoma County grapes in 1876 and has been continuously making wine in the same stone cellar in Healdsburg, California since 1890. In this chardonnay, the nose has expressive notes of pineapple, white peach, green apple, Meyer lemon, and orange blossom laced with hints of butter, toasty brioche, and smoke. Pairs well with smoked salmon, prawns, or a caprese salad. Appellations: 25% Russian River Valley, 26% Carneros, 27% Alexander Valley, 22% Sonoma Coast. Varietal: 100% chardonnay.
