Simi Sonoma County Wine Chardonnay
On This Page
Description
SIMI owns vineyards in two small and specialized sub-districts of Sonoma County-the warmer Alexander Valley, and the cooler, foggier Russian River Valley. SIMI made its first wine from Sonoma County grapes in 1876 and has been continuously making wine in the same stone cellar in Healdsburg, California since 1890. This chardonnay has a remarkably distinct fruit profile because it is made from grapes from throughout Sonoma County. It all comes together on the palate with well-defined, fresh flavors of tangerine, lemon curd, stone fruit, white peach, and nectarine, lifted by a lightly toasted and warm oak character. Pairs well with smoked salmon, spot prawns, or a caprese salad. Appellations: 25% Russian River Valley, 26% Carneros, 27% Alexander Valley, 22% Sonoma Coast. Varietal: 100% chardonnay.Warnings
