Keep Refrigerated. In refrigerator, soak 1lb (453g) of salted fish in 6 cups (1.5L) of fresh water for 8 hours, changing the water three times. Longer soaking or more frequent changing of the water will further decrease the salt content. Cook according to your favorite recipe.
