Directions for Use: The recommended initial period is 4-6 weeks; however, some dogs may respond sooner. The number of chewable tablets may then be reduced to the maintenance level. Number of Tablets: Weight - 15 lbs and under. Initial 4-6 weeks - 1/2 daily. Maintenance level - 1/2 every other day. Weight - 16-30 lbs. Initial 4-6 weeks - 1 daily. Maintenance level - 1/2 daily. Weight - 31-60 lbs. Initial 4-6 weeks - 2 daily. Maintenance level - 1 daily. Weight - Over 60 lbs. Initial 4-6 weeks - 3 daily. Maintenance level - 1-2 daily. The maintenance level can also be used long term on healthy dogs to help support their joints. Cosequin® chewable tablets can be given all at once or divided throughout the day.
