Stovetop Instructions: Product needs to be thoroughly cooked. 1. Rinse rice thoroughly before cooking. 2. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add butter and salt if desired. 3. Stir in 1 cup of rice, bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat to low and cover. 5. Simmer 20 minutes or until water is absorbed. 6. Let stand for 5 minutes. 7. Fluff with fork and serve. Since individual stoves vary in temperature and power, these instructions are guidelines only. For Best Results: For firmer rice, use less water and simmer for a shorter time. For softer rice, use more water and simmer for a longer time. Do not lift lid while cooking; steam cooks rice. Differences in altitude, hardness of water and product moisture may change the suggested cook time. Rice is a natural agricultural product. Despite the use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign materials. Sort and remove foreign materials before cooking. Store in a cool, dry place.
