How to roast the perfect turkey or ham: If You Care Roasting Bags can help you roast a perfect tender, juicy turkey (or perfectly cooked hams or large roasts). Place bag on baking pan seam side up and position prepped foods into center of bag. Fold open end of bag tightly toward the top to seal bag and place baking pan in oven. When ready, remove from oven, let cool, then open top of bag along seam. Beware of hot steam. Directions: 1. Open bag fully with the seam side up and place on a large baking pan. 2. Place cleaned and prepared turkey inside the center of the bag. Do not push turkey all the way to bottom of bag. 3. Seal the open end by folding tightly as many times as possible towards the top until it snugly fits contents. 4. Roast turkey at correct time and temperature for its weight but take pan out from the oven 30 minutes before completion. 5. Cut the top of the bag along the seam to expose turkey and place it back in the oven. 6. Roast uncovered until turkey reaches 165 degrees f for meat thermometer or the desired golden color. 7. Carefully lift and remove turkey from bag and let rest for 20 minutes. 8. Use drippings collected at the bottom of the bag to make a delicious gravy. Tips & advice: the bottom seam is designed to let steam out of the roasting bag during cooking and is not leakproof, so it is best not to fill the bag with too much liquid. For best results, place foods in center of bag and avoid over-filling. After cooking, make a delicious gravy by simply adding liquid and corn starch to the juices at the bottom of the bag. Easily prepare a one pot meal by roasting vegetables, such as onions, potatoes or carrots, with meats.
