"My first impression about wine was really at age five or six, and it comes from a memory of my father's father. Agostino Coppola. They would buy a boxer load of California grapes to make homemade wines. I heard many stories of how happy they were when the grapes would finally come and were locked up behind a trap door that led to the cellars. They weren't fancy wines, mind you, but pleasurable everyday wines that reflected the comfort of home. Our Pinot Grigio is made in the same spirit - a wine for everyday life."
