Directions

Stovetop Instructions: Product needs to be thoroughly cooked. 1. Rinse rice thoroughly before cooking. 2. Bring 2 to 2-1/2 cups water to a boil. 3. Add 1 teaspoon butter or margarine and salt (optional). 4. Stir in 1 cup of rice. 5. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 45-50 minutes. 6. Remove from heat. Let is stand covered for 5 minutes or until water is absorbed. 7. Fluff with fork and serve. Since individual stoves vary in temperature and power, these instructions are guidelines only. For Best Results: For firmer rice, use less water and simmer for a shorter time. For softer rice, use more water and simmer for a longer time. Do not lift lid while cooking; steam cooks rice. Difference in altitude, hardness of water and product moisture may change the suggested cook time. Rice is a natural agricultural product. Despite the use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign materials. Sort and remove foreign materials before cooking. Store in a cool, dry place.
