Cooking Directions: Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of whole mixed beans, bring 1/3 cup water to a boil. Add vegetables and bring to second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 3 to 5 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of whole mixed beans in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 4 to 6 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave Ovens: Pour whole mixed beans in microwave-safe dish: 1 or 1-1/2 quart size for 1/2 bag, 2-quart size for whole bag. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Season to taste. Servings: 2 large - 5. Amount: 8 oz - 16 oz. Water: 2 tablespoons - 1/4 cup. Cooking time*: 3 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 2 to 3 minutes - 4 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 3 to 4 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual.
