Recommended Daily Feeding for Puppies (Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup): For an average puppy with normal activity, the following amounts of product are recommended: Extra Large (101 lb and over): 1.5 to 3 months: 5-1/4 to 6-1/3 cups; 3 to 5 months: 6-1/3 to 8-3/4 cups; 5 to 7 months: 8 to 11 cups; 7 months to 1 year: 8 to 13 cups; 1 to 2 years: 6-3/4 to 10-2/3 cups. Large (51-100 lb): 1.5 to 3 months: 2 to 5-1/4 cups; 3 to 5 months: 4-1/4 to 6-3/4 cups; 5 to 7 months: 5-3/4 to 8 cups; 7 months to 1 year: 5-1/2 to 8 cups; 1 to 2 years: 5-1/2 to 6-3/4 cups. Medium (21- 50 lb): 1.5 to 3 months: 1-2/3 to 5 cups; 3 to 5 months: 3 to 5-3/4 cups; 5 to 7 months: 4 to 6 cups; 7 months to 1 year: 4 to 5-1/2 cups. Weaning Pups: Start puppies on Beneful® Healthy Growth for Puppies as early as they begin to nibble at solid foods, generally at 3 to 4 weeks of age. Adult Dogs: Most adult dogs can be fed once daily. However when high activity or other factors create a higher feed intake, twice-a-day feeding is recommended. Dogs should be maintained in good body condition and not allowed to become overweight. The food intake required to maintain good body condition will vary, depending on age, activity and environment. Consequently, the amount of food required for each dog will vary and should be adjusted accordingly.
