(1) Qwik Trap will replace 1-1/2 inch. or 1-1/4 inch. plastic or metal tubular traps. (2) (1) Loosen jam nut (1). (2) Loosen jam nut (2). (3) Remove U bend (3). (4) Remove jam nut (1) from tail piece. (5) Slide jam nut (2) out of way. It is not necessary to remove. (3) (1) If fixture tail piece (1) is 1-1/4 in. Qwik Trap will fit without cutting. If fixture tail piece (1) is 1-1/2 inch. cut inlet of trap at point (A). (2) Loosen bands and slide them down on the trap (B). (3) Install Qwik Trap by sliding inlet of trap (2) over fixture tail piece. Continue to slide upward until outlet of trap (3) is over lip of drain outlet. Position so that 3/4 inch. is over lip. (4) Slide one tightening band over inlet of trap and tighten to fixture tail piece. Slide other band over outlet of trap and tighten. (4) Fill fixture with water and drain. Check for leaks.
