Directions
Individually frozen ice glazed. Basic cooking instructions: In general: chicken breasts, if overcooked, may become dry. The following instructions are for cooking breasts from the frozen state. If breasts are defrosted, reduce cooking times by approximately half. Microwave oven per pound: Arrange 2 to 3 pieces (approximately one pound) frozen Empire chicken breasts in a single layer on a microwave safe plate. Cover loosely. Cook on high power for 10 to 11 minutes, or until chicken can be easily pierced with a fork and juices run clear. Rotate chicken midway through cooking time. Edges may overcook when micro-cooking. Let stand 3 minutes before serving. Microwave ovens vary in wattage. Above instructions are based on a 650 watt oven. Consult your own microwave cookbook for times suitable for your particular oven. Conventional oven - (any amount): Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Arrange 2 to 3 pieces of frozen Empire Kosher chicken breasts in a single layer in a shallow roasting pan. Cook uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes, or until chicken can be easily pierced with a fork and juices run clear. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Oven temperatures may vary. Adjust cooking times accordingly. In skillet: Place small amount of cooking oil in heavy skillet. Cook frozen breasts over medium high heat for approximately 4 to 5 min. per side or until chicken can be easily pierced with a fork and juices run clear. Freezer storage: Raw frozen poultry parts, securely wrapped, and stored at 0 degrees F. are best when used within 12 months of purchase. Defrosting: Empire chicken breasts are ready to cook, either in microwave or conventional ovens without defrosting. Should you wish to defrost parts, place covered pieces in refrigerator overnight. Normally, they will be ready to use the next day. Safe handling instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry.
