Cooking Directions: Simmer: bring 1-1/2 cups water to a boil. Add desired amount of cut turnips and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 6 to 8 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: pour desired amount of cut turnips in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 to 7 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: Pour cut turnips in microwave-safe dish: 1-1/2 quart size for 1/2 bag, 2-quart size for whole bag. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Season to taste. Servings - 3 large - 7. Amount - 10 oz - 20 oz. Water - 3 tablespoons - 4 tablespoons. Cooking time* - 3 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 3 to 5 minutes - 4 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 5 to 8 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Keep frozen until ready to use.
