Description
4 in (102 mm). Replaces 3/8 inches lag screws. FastenMaster Lok Line. Meet code. Lower cost. No predrilling! Free hex driver bit. Code compliant. TimberLok is a heavy duty wood screw that is ideal for many wood-to-wood connections including decks, fences, headers, installing kitchen cabinets, kitchen islands and more. Guaranteed Corrosion Resistance: TimberLok is guaranteed not to rust or corrode for the life of the project. The coating on this fastener has been tested in wood treatment chemicals, such as ACQ, and found to provide equivalent protection to code approved hot-dipped galvanized coatings. TimberLok is not recommended for use in saltwater applications (within 1,000 ft). Comparative Data: The statement Replaces 3/8 inches logs refers to the comparison of lateral (shear) design values for the TimberLok as shown in our evaluation report and lag screw values as published in the current National Design Specification for Wood Construction (NDS). See table. For critical applications, a Professional Engineer (PE) may be consulted to determine proper connection design including the number and location of fasteners to meet local code and specific load requirements. Complete design values and engineering data in our evaluation report, ICC-ES ESR-1078, available at www.fastenmaster.com.
