Directions

Cooking Directions: Simmer: Place frozen collard greens in 1 cup of boiling water. Bring to a second boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until tender, approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: pour frozen collard greens in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam until tender, approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: Pour content of package in 1-1/2 quart microwave-safe dish. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Season to taste. Servings - 2 large - 5. Amount - 8 oz - 16 oz. Water - 3/4 cup - 1 cup. Cooking time* - 6 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 14 to 16 minutes - 6 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 15 to 17 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Keep frozen until ready to use.
