Breaking in a Glove: Rub in a small amount of glove oil into the glove. Play catch with your glove to form the glove to your hand. After playing catch place a ball in the pocket and wrap the glove closed. Playing catch is the best way to break in your glove. Have the laces tightened before each season. Rawlings does not recommend submerging your glove/mitt in water, placing your glove in a conventional oven, microwave oven or heating your glove/mitt in any way to soften the material. This may affect your product warranty if not performed as directed.
