Step 1: Disassemble Kit: Shell (2x), fitting, barb, retaining ring. Step 2: Make sure to position shell on hose end that is cut evenly so that the grooves of the shell are flush with the end of the hose. Step 3: The fitting should be placed onto the matching grooved section of shell and fit should be snug. Place shell on the opposite side of the fitting. Step 4: The hose and mating shells should be placed firmly together by squeezing the leading edges of the shells. Then slide the retaining ring into place. Step 5: Do not let the hose slip during the assembly process. It must remain in its original position aligned with the shells. Insert a greased barb insert into the fitting and turn to begin threading. Using a 5/16 inches hexagonal wench key tighten the insert. Inspect the assembly conducting a quick pull on the hose and fitting to ensure that the hose is firmly gripped inside.
