Schrader: Pump is pre-set for Schrader valves. With lever in up position, press pump head onto valve at 90 degree angle. Push lever down to lock before pumping. Pull handle to open position and begin inflation. Pull lever up to release. Presta: Adaptor inside. To inflate Presta valve tubes, turn cap counter clockwise to remove. Pull out and reverse the two-piece adaptor so that the smaller hole is facing out. Reattach pump head cap, screwing clockwise. With Presta valve on tube opened and lever in up position, press pump head onto valve at 90 degree angle. Push lever down to lock before pumping. Pull lever up to release.
