Cooking Directions for a Family of 4: Cook: 3 tbsp toor dal + 3 cups water + 1/2 tsp oil + 1 pinch turmeric powder. Add: 300 g cut vegetables + 1 cup water & cook. Grind: 1 tbsp MTR Sambar powder + 2 tsp coconut + 1/2 cup water. Add to cooked dal and vegetables. Add: 2 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp (1:5 tamarind: water) + salt + 1 tsp jaggery. Boil: For 5 minutes. Heat: 1/2 tbsp oil in a pan; crackle 1/2 tsp mustard, curry leaves & add to Sambar. MTR Tip: Garnish with fried chilly & curry leaves. Serve with rice, idli, dosa. Remember: Store in cool, dry & hygienic place. Once the pack is opened, transfer the contents in to an air tight container. Use a dry spoon.
