Description

The Grand River Valley AVA (American Viticultural Area) located in Lake and Ashtabula counties of northeastern Ohio, create unique characteristics in the grapes grown there. Our estate grown grapes benefit from a climate moderated by the thermal effects of a large body of water, in this case, Lake Erie to the north. The Valley's contours promote the effective circulation of warmer air, reducing the threat of frost in the spring and extending the growing season so the grapes are able to ripen to perfection. The warm, sunny days and cool nights allow our grapes to become wines with distinct flavors and body. European growing conditions create true and distinct vintages.
