Our Perfect Grits Recipe: 1 Serving: 1/4 cup grits, 1 cup water, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp half-n-half (optional). 4 Servings: 1 cup grits, 4 cups water, 1 tsp salt, 4 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup half-n-half (optional). 6 Servings: 1-1/2 cups grits, 6 cups water, 1-1/2 tsp salt, 6 tbsp butter, 3/4 cup half-n-half (optional). Bring water to boil add salt and whisk in grits. Reduce heat and simmer Uncovered 20-25 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat add butter and half-n-half. “Throw in a handful (or more) of sharp cheddar, crumbled bacon, or Bruce Julian Sugar Cured Ham for the full Bruce experience!”
