Directions

Cooking Instructions: Makes 4 servings, 3/4 cup each. To retains vitamins, do not rinse before and after cooking. If desired, add 1 tbsp margarine and 1 tsp salt per 1 cup uncooked rice. For drier rice use 1 3/4 cups water. For moister rice, use 2 1/4 cups water. Stove Top: 1. Bring 1 3/4 cups water to a boil in a 2 quart heavy saucepan. 2. Stir in 1 cup rice. 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. 4. Fluff lightly with a fork and serve. Microwave: 1. Combine 1 3/4 cups of water and 1 cup of rice in a 2 quart microwave safe dish. 2. Cover and microwave on high 5 minutes. 3. Reduce setting to 50% power and microwave for 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Caution: Product and container may be hot. 4. Fluff lightly with for fork and serve. Microwave cooking times may vary depending on the particular appliance used. Refrigerate leftovers immediately in a tightly sealed container. Store in a cool dry place away from all sources of heat or moisture.
