Directions

Prep time: 10 minutes. Makes 8 servings. You will need. 1 pkg McCormick Seasoning Mix. 2 1/2 to 3 lbs boneless chuck roast, trimmed. 1 cup each carrot, celery and onion chunks (1-inch chunks). 1 cup water. 2 tbsp tomato paste. Directions: 1. Place roast and vegetables in slow cooker. 2. Mix Seasoning mix, water and tomato paste until blended. Pour over roast and vegetables. Cover. 3. Cook 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. Remove roast and vegetables and place on serving platter. Skim excess fat from sauce before serving. Slow cooker tips: For 6-quart or larger slow cooker or when cooking on low, place vegetables on bottom or sides of slow cooker. For best results, do not remove cover during cooking. Try this twist! Red Wine braised short ribs: use 3 lbs boneless beef short ribs in place of the roast. Makes 8 servings.
