This is an all-natural product. Named after the small town of Amatrice, Italy, in the mountainous province of Rieti and based on an ancient roman recipe featuring pancetta, this sauce is hearty, savory and rustic with a touch of heat. In the traditional Italian style we cook with fine wine, using Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon to add flavor and richness to this sauce. Slow cooked in small batches, we use only vine-ripened plum tomatoes, naturally cured pancetta, sauteed red onions, chili flakes, imported Italian olive oil and natural sea salt.
