What in the world is dragon fruit? Comes from a cactus species known as hylocereus with flowers that only bloom at night. Is cultivated in Central and South America, as well as East Asian and Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The colors of a Dragon fruit can vary greatly. Some have pink skin with red or white flesh inside, others have yellow skin with white flesh inside. Dragon fruit has a mildly sweet flavor often described as a cross between a kiwi and a pear.
