Ahold Turkey Breast



Keep frozen. Easy steps for a perfect turkey breast: Thawing (defrosting): Do not open bag until turkey breast is defrosted. Keep turkey breast cold. Do not thaw at room temperature. Place on tray in refrigerator for 24 - 48 hours. Preparation: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Remove breast from bag. Rinse inside and outside of breast with cold water. Drain well and pat dry. Roast immediately. Using a thermometer*: If using a thermometer, insert into the thickest part of breast without touching bone. (*Recommended). Microwave: We recommend conventional roasting. If you do use a microwave, refer to the manufacturer's instructions for approximate cooking times. BBQ grill: Your whole turkey breast is delicious when grilled. Follow grill manufacturer's directions. Roasting: Place breast-side up on rack in shallow roasting pan. Brush turkey with vegetable oil. Roast at 325 degrees F. According to chart below. *Turkey timer is designed to pop at 170 degrees F. Meat thermometer (if used) should read 170 degrees F. Estimated roasting time: Weight (lbs) - hours. 3-4 - 1 to 1 1/2. 4-5 - 1 1/2 to 2. 5-6 - 2 to 2 1/2. 6-7 - 2 1/2 to 3 1/4. When breast is golden brown, cover with a loose tent of aluminum foil to prevent over-browning. For easier slicing, let stand 10 minutes.
