You will need: 20 oz mushrooms (2 1/2 cups) sliced. 3/4 cup of cold water. Cooking oil. Easy to make: Makes 5 servings. 1. Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil to 375 degrees F - 400 degrees F in deep-fat fryer or 3-quart saucepan. 2. Mix contents of pouch with 3/4 cup of cold water until batter is smooth. 3. Dip mushrooms into batter, allowing excess to drip back into bowl. 4. Fry, turning once, until crisp and lightly golden (2 - 3 minutes). Remove and briefly drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
