Note: This product is a seasonal decoration, not a toy. It is not intended for use by children. (1) Do not mix old and new batteries. (2) Do not mix alkaline batteries with standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. (3) Do not use rechargeable batteries. (4) Remove batteries from product at end of season before storing to avoid battery leakage and corrosion. For indoor use. These flickering LED candles with timer are battery operated and require two AA alkaline batteries per candle (not included). Instructions: (1) Twist off the bulb (flame) of the candle as shown in figure 1 to insert batteries. (2) Insert batteries so the positive ends (+) are pointing up towards the bulb. (3) Gently insert the bulb into the candle. (4) Twist bulb into the candle clockwise to turn on. The candle will illuminate. Twist the bulb counterclockwise to turn candle off. (5) Once candle is turned on the automatic timer will keep candle lit for 8 hours. It will then turn off for 16 hours. (ex: If you turn on candle at 6 PM it will illuminate until 2 AM and then turn off). This 24-hour cycle will repeat until candle is turned off.
